The Ramlal Kapoor Trust was established in Amritsar in February 1928 by Sh.Hans Raj Kapoor, Sh.Gian Chand Kapoor Sh. Rooplal Kapoor and Late Pyarelal Kapoor in the memory of their father Lt.Lala Ram Lal Kapoor.

Memories: Bhim Sain Weds a shy Shanta Kapoor

This web site is dedicated to the Scholars that have worked for the trust without self interest and to our ancestors, who gave us a noble mission to carry through the years.

A way to give back a little to the society what we have taken from so freely.

Memories: Another Wedding picture

An opportunity to do a good deed once in a while, when ever possible, keeping in tradition with the family culture....

A REMINDER.... to carry on the good done in the past.

This is also a platform to reconnect with our rich heritage and understand the beauty of a large family.... A lineage extending across 7 continents, yet so small that someone is there, like an angel, whenever in need.

The Kapoor family is known followers of Baba Lalua Jasrai whose main shrine was on a small hill in Dibalpur (now Pakistan). After the Partition two shrines were dedicated to Baba Lalua -- one at Amritsar and the other in Delhi. The "Choti" ceremony of the Kapoor boys is performed at these sacred grounds.

It can thus be presumed that our ancestors lived near Dibalpur before migrating to Lahore and thereafter, to Amritsar in the 19th century.
KuchaPir-Sabz Lahore (Pakistan) was the haunt of the Kapoor's for many decades headed by Lala Dhondo Rai followed by Lala Ratansukh Rai & the list is as above.
